VCM Suite for Windows

MPVI users will need the latest version of HP Tuners VCM Suite Beta.

The VCM Suite installation includes VCM Editor and VCM Scanner.

To communicate with the vehicle, the key or push-button ignition must be in the ON/RUN position with the engine NOT running. Accessory mode will not work.

Some vehicles require additional unlock hardware or procedures before reading or writing. If your vehicle requires this, follow the applicable vehicle-specific instructions before continuing.

Use this procedure when we request a stock read from your vehicle.

1. Connect your HP Tuners interface to the vehicle's OBD-II port.
2. Connect the interface to your Windows computer.
3. Open VCM Editor Beta.
4. If this is your first time using the interface on this computer, go to Help → Resync Interface.
5. Turn the vehicle key or push-button ignition to ON/RUN, with the engine NOT running. Accessory mode will not work.
6. In VCM Editor, go to Flash → Read Vehicle.
7. Click Gather Info.
8. Allow VCM Editor to finish identifying the modules in the vehicle.
9. For each module that needs to be read, set the appropriate dropdown box to Read Entire.
10. Click Read.
11. Do not disconnect the interface, computer, or vehicle power while the read is in progress.
12. Once the read is complete, VCM Editor may generate or download the appropriate stock file from the HP Tuners servers.
13. Press OK when prompted and save the file somewhere you can easily find it.

The default HP Tuners file location is commonly:

Documents → HP Tuners → Logs and Tunes

14. Send the saved file to Support@SpeedFarmGarage.com, or reply to your order email with the file attached.

We can then prepare your tuned file and send it back to you by email.

Do not interrupt vehicle power, disconnect the tuning interface, close VCM Editor, or disconnect the computer while a flash is in progress.

If your vehicle-specific instructions require an unlock, upgrade tool, bypass cable, replacement ECM, or another special procedure, complete those steps as instructed before beginning the flash.

1. Download the tune file supplied to you by email.
2. Connect your HP Tuners interface to the vehicle's OBD-II port.
3. Connect the interface to your Windows computer.
4. Open VCM Editor Beta.
5. Go to File → Open.
6. Select the tune file we supplied.
7. Go to Help → Resync Interface.

This allows the interface to synchronize its current information and available credits with HP Tuners.

8. Turn the vehicle key or push-button ignition to ON/RUN, with the engine NOT running. Accessory mode will not work.
9. Go to Flash → Write Vehicle.
10. VCM Editor may display a License Options button if the file or vehicle has not yet been licensed.
11. If licensing is required, select the appropriate module and complete the licensing process.

HP Tuners credits are applied during the licensing process. Follow the licensing prompts carefully before continuing.

12. For each module that needs to be flashed, select Write Entire unless your vehicle-specific instructions tell you to use another write method.
13. Click Write Vehicle.
14. The vehicle is now being programmed. Do not interrupt the process.
15. Follow all key ON/OFF instructions displayed by VCM Editor.
16. Wait until VCM Editor confirms that the write has completed successfully.
17. Once the procedure is completely finished, turn the vehicle OFF.
18. Remove any temporary unlock/bypass hardware if your vehicle-specific instructions require it to be removed.
19. Disconnect the tuning interface.

The vehicle is now ready for any remaining vehicle-specific relearn or setup procedures.

The Tune Delivery Network (TDN) app provides a simpler mobile method of reading and writing compatible vehicles without requiring a Windows computer at the vehicle.

This method is intended for compatible HP Tuners and SFG tuning devices.

TDN is not a substitute for vehicle-specific procedures that require VCM Editor, VCM Scanner, special functions, or module replacement functions.

Initial TDN Setup

1. Download and install the TDN app.
2. Open TDN.
3. Register an HP Tuners account, or sign in to your existing account.
4. Go to Tools.
5. Select the appropriate First Time Setup option for your tuning device.
6. Follow the instructions in the app to connect your phone to the tuning device.
7. TDN may update the firmware or configuration of the tuning device during setup.

This setup should be performed with the tuning device installed in a vehicle as directed by the app.

The First Time Setup process itself is not going to read or write your vehicle tune unless the app specifically instructs you that a vehicle operation is beginning.

8. Go to the account/linking area in TDN.
9. Link your account using the appropriate dealer code:

JGVD-8122 for 2024+ L5P, LM2, and LZ0

OR

ZSJC-1058 for all others

Once linked, your device and TDN account can exchange tune files with us.

Before beginning, place the vehicle ignition in the ON/RUN position with the engine NOT running.

1. Connect your tuning device to the vehicle.
2. Open the TDN app.
3. Complete the appropriate First Time Setup if it has not already been performed.
4. Go to Flash.
5. Select Read Vehicle.
6. Follow the instructions displayed in the app.
7. Keep the phone, tuning device, and vehicle connected until the read is complete.
8. Once finished, the stock read will be saved in TDN and uploaded through the app.
9. Notify us that your stock read has been uploaded.

You do not need to separately email the stock file when it has successfully uploaded through TDN.

Once your tuning is completed and uploaded, the TDN app can notify you that a new file is available if notifications are enabled.

Before beginning, place the vehicle ignition in the ON/RUN position with the engine NOT running.

1. Connect your tuning device to the vehicle.
2. Open the TDN app.
3. Go to Flash.
4. Select Sync Files to make sure the latest tune files have been downloaded to the app.
5. Find the tune file you want to install. Press and hold on the file name, or write button depending on view to select Write Entire/Full Write as the write type
6. Press Write if your view does not automatically start the write
   
7. Do not unplug the tuning device, close the app, or interrupt vehicle power while the flash is in progress.
8. Follow all key ON/OFF instructions displayed by TDN.
9. Wait until TDN confirms that the flash has completed successfully.
10. Once complete, cycle the vehicle power OFF and back ON if instructed.
11. Disconnect the tuning device.

The vehicle is now ready for any remaining vehicle-specific setup or relearn procedures.
